steering gear for AC B-10

Recommended Posts

My steering went on me the other day and I discovered that the part that meshes with the gear on the bottom of the steering column has two teeth stripped. I know it is the same as the one on my Simplicity 2010. I wonder if anyone has had this problem and been able to rebuild it or if someone has a spare they would sell.

I don't know if it can be rebuilt and be strong enough or not.

Any thoughts about this?

I would do a search here on the site...there are numerous threads about steering issues and rebuilds, many wihtin restoration threads...parts are easy to come by on ebay or through club members.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
