My 3410s is very loud when in reverse..I think it's the planetary gear, but i'm not sure how to fix it..

If i grab the gear it has a lot of movement.

any ideas?

I have several shuttles and it's all about Prevention with those. They are good, strong, gear tranys, but the belts need to be set exact and the planetary needs to stay lubed.

Do you have a manual/download? it has the maint info...I can send you all I have if you PM me your E-mail.

BUT...if the planetary assy is bad then you may need to rebuild (I've never done) or replace :(

The cap on it is removeable to grease & inspect...have you looked in there?

Greg, I see that you are familiar with the shuttles... I have a loose planetary gear. I believe that my problem is a missing flange bearing, part number 2173789SM Do you know where I can find one of these? Thanks! Dereck
