Your right Perry. I asked a few members if they knew what that was and Zippo recognized it imidiatly as a "clutch pedal gaurd" from a sickle assy.

As of now, it is siezed on...so it will have to stay there sm01

since this is my 1st B1 I may have a few questions as I go:

-Is the B1 gas tank the same as the later B's?...I need one

-Is the seat the same as a B10? I've seen some without the armrests

-were there any decals on the dash? (seems kinda plain)

thanks...GP

Tanks are not the same, B1 700 725 are unique before the b10.

Seats are not quite. The brackets may be, the seat base looks the same, white pleated sewn seat with black ends, but the arm rests were just black, without the "rope" looking thing around the edge.

The only decal I remember on the dash is a safety decal, not sure about any more.

Thanks Dan, I was afraid of that, the tank may be hard to find a good one..?

I do have the seat frame & the cushions are available in that style/colors.

I don't have a tank, but I think they come along as often or more than good B tanks. The style and location seems to make them hold up a little better.

Of the few I have had, I've never seen one rusted out, while more than half the B style I get are junk.

I often wondered what hte clutch pedal gaurd was for, for sickle bar operation. It only shows up in the 990210 manual, and none of the later sickle bar diagrams that I've seen. The 99210 sicklebar doesn't use the tractor's lift, and has nothing that comes in contact with the lift or clutch pedal. ? What's it 'gaurd' against?

To keep your ankle from hitting the lift shaft??? Is there a cable/rope that may catch on it? I saw no need for it myself??

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
