triad for sale

When I bought my ps sovy it had a 50 hour triad. I listed it "best offer" on CL. It was like 6 hours and it was sold for $600 with 2 back up buyers... If it runs good, someone will buy it...

My thought on the Triad is this:

If you got a really good Sovereign - except for the engine, be it a Triad or a Command, they are good candidates for a re-engine.

Some of the folks I network with who have the model 520-H Wheelhorse with Onan engines are doing this - as it is a great tractor. The Onan either is GREAT or very BAD, seems like there is no in between.

The only other old iron tractor I've seen that seems to warrant a new engine transplant is the Sovereign type tractor.

So my advice is - if you like the deal on the Triad, go for it, run it till it breaks and if the tractor is otherwise in good/great shape, re-engine down the road.

Good luck,

Bill

I agree " good luck with that". Old tired Triad. If it needs pistons, they are not available or they were not last time I checked. You can get Commands in that price range and it is an excellent motor.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
