mechanical front pto

Recommended Posts

Somewhere back in the deep dark crevasses of my mind I seem to have a recollection of a picture showing a mounting bracket modified so a mechanical front pto designed for a 10hp briggs would fit a 14hp briggs. Does anyone have an idea where to look for it?

thanks in advance:

Should fit without mods I think. Won't fit a 12 hp or 13 though.

Won't fit any engine synchro balanced at both ends. They have a different bearing cover on the pto side.

I think I'm the one that wrote the post you are thinking about. I'll see if I can find it

Thanks Dan

That's not the one I was thinking of but it is helpful just the same.

I suppose I have the one with the syncro balance as it hasn't got the flat cover like my 10hp. I guess I'll just have to do some inventing.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
