Swapping an OHV Head onto a 14hp Briggs ????

I have not done any major engine internal repairs in years..I have a question regarding a head swap. I am changing a head from one Briggs small block to another because of a broken rod cap in one of the engines. I need to use the head off of the old 14hp engine and swap the push rods into the new block. I am switching the old OHV head onto the new engine and was wondering if this is just a bolt and go after I install a new head gasket or do I need to readjust the valves after I install the new head? Also do I have to be sure the piston is on a certain cycle before I install the head and push rods?

I know there are different type of push rods used in this engine for exhaust and intake so I need to watch that when switching them over.

No problem. I stumbled across that one day trying to find a manual. Now it is in the front of all my small engine/equipment maintenance binders.
