Trying to identify a tractor. Can some tell me what models of simplicity tractors came with 2 pto. Or direct me to somewhere I can find that kind of info. The I'd tag is no readable on this tractor.

Thanks

Many models did. You will have to be more specific or show us some pictures.

Is it an Allis Chalmers or Simplicity?

Are the pto handles one on each side beside your legs?

Are the headlights in the grill or mounted on the outside?

Can you get numbers off the engine?

Is it a Kohler or a Briggs engine?

What transmission, 3 speed, 6 speed, variable, shuttle or hydro?

Many of the large frame tractors came with a front PTO as well as the mid PTO if they had been setup for a snowblower sometime in their life.

A pic would help you get an accurate answer.

Well not positive if the hood belongs to the tractor has it is not bolted on it. So at this point I am not using that to I'd this tractor. It is a simplicity and I appears to have 1 pto on each frame side between the legs. I will look for a motor number and get some pics

Well my wife used her pencil rub trick and managed to get a partial number from that well polished foil tag.

Looks to be two groups of numbers. 1st group is 7 digits and 2nd is 6 digits

16902xx 002332

That's all I have. Does that help?

Ya I am 75 miles away from tractor, at work right now and I have the camera with me today. So pics will have to come tonight when I get home. Thought maybe the two pto option was only on a few models and might narrow the field a little.

Could be just about any model from the '70's, and some in the '80's. I think they were fairly common on 3400 & 7000 series. Don't think I've had a 3400, 7000 or 700 without it.

Some options if it is for sure a Simplicity

I think these are all Briggs engines.

10 hp engine numbers will start with 24,

13 will start with 30,

16 will start with 32

7010 1690204

7016 1690203

7016 1690202

1690232 - 7013S, 13HP

1690233 - 7013S, 13HP and 42" Rotary Mower

1690234 - 7010, 10HP 6-Speed and 42" Rotary Mower

Some more if is an Allis Chalmers

Most or all of these have Kohler engines.

710-6 1690215

712S 1690213

712H 1690214

716H 1690211

716-6 1690212

The 3400 series were 990xxx numbers and the 7100 series was up around 16904xx and higher

If I'm not mistaken, once the 7100 series came out most or all the front PTO's were electric, not manual

Best I can do ;);)

So the 1st 7 digit cluster is the model and 2nd 6 digit cluster is the serial number on simplicity tractors. Is that correct

So the two unreadable number are important in this case

Thanks for your help guys

Just want know what I got to see if is worth the effort to restore or just salvage what I can
