Picked up another 5010 yesterday,my intension was to get it for parts but once I got it I found it to be 10 times better then the one I was going to restore. So now this one will get a redo and other one will be parts. Also came with a blower and a couple extra things

Very nice! Certainly doesn't look like it needs a redo at all! An LTD in original skin would be a rare duck.

Saw that advertised. Great deal! That was my personal first tractor, it was a solid unit and cut great. I had that tractor for about 15 years. Good steal! Looks like it's in great shape.

So Todd are you going to restore it or leave it as-is? My vote is for leaving it as-is. Shoot, even the parts machine is still too rare IMO to use for parts. There are enough regular 5008 and 5010 machines around to fill the parts needs.

Cool, I agree - keep the nice one as original and redo the rough one. I have never seen one in person. Definitely an oddball in the Simplicity world with the headlights and other stuff compared to the regular 5010. Kind of like the 75th Anniversary Sovereign was kind of different. My brother has a regular 5010 I found for him many years ago. What a great tractor.

That was what I had as my first and original Simplicity. Had it from about 1984 to 2000. Had a vac setup and tiller. Great bulletproof tractor, and did an excellent job of cutting grass.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
