Powermax mower deck bars rusted

Recommended Posts

Guys is it just the machines I drag home or does everyone have bound up adjuster threads in the clevis end of the deck adjuster bars? The last go round with these I heated the bar so much it felt like it was going to twist before the treads broke free. Any ideas to make this job easier? I need to get the front of the blades up a little.

Don't heat the bar with the threads on it. Only heat the nut/turnbuckle. It is to easy to put a permanent twist to the bar if it get cherry red and you go to turn the lock nut and adjusters.

Heat is about the only way to get these parts freed up.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
