Howdy;

What kind of compression reading can I expect to get out of this mill? I get some noise while turning her over, and not sure if I got problems of what.

Help is appreciated.

I, have two new ones (16hp Briggs)that I bought in the past. One has 13 hours and a 100 psi and the other has 50 hours and is about the same or maybe a little more.

I also had a 40 year old 15hp Briggs that I bought used and no idea of hours on the motor. It had 90 psi and never burned oil the 3 years I used it. So, I, would say 90 psi is good as well.

The only small engine manufacture I ever seen publish compression numbers is Honda. Honda says 90 - 114 psi on a GX 620 is excellent or good.
