36" Snowblower on 712H

I'm thinking about my snowblower on the 712H this year instead of using my walk behind 9HP Craftsman snowblower.

Pros:

1. More Allis seat time (potentially)

2. Itching to try it out

3. Keeps the Tecumseh gas-leaker out of the front shed ( I need to put a new bowl on the carb)

Cons:

1. Would be a tight fit and not leave much room for working on the tractors

2. Need to find that right size belt to drive the blower off the PTO ( I do have the hitch that Rod made for me so it should not be too difficult)

3. I am a little concerned about how far these blowers can throw the snow... my neighbors are pretty close.

4. A walk behind can turn on a dime where the tractor cannot

Thoughts?

You should be able to limit the distance it throws. There should be a deflector on the chute, that you can adjust.

The walk behind is good for walks, tight spots, cleanup work. Fix the gas leak, though.
