64 landlord driveshaft issues

Well, i took apart the 64 landlord today, and took out the driveshaft and disks. The holes where the bushings are, are wollowed out. The spacers are worn out as well. I'm guessing (correct me if i'm wrong,) that the rubber/fiber disk in the middle of the two plates acts as a shock absorber. I think mine is worn down, and has been for a while. I saw the post from a few months ago, and the link Ray posted. But is that the earlier style with two steel plates and rubber or the later style that had the disks only. So I think I need new rubber pieces. Here are some pictures, not sure what I'm going to do yet, does it look to wollowed, or does it look Okay if I get a new rubber piece.

Ryan, those spacers should be solid, looks like a groove was cut into them. Also missing some good washers, probably why its wallowed out. You need a driveshaft, than reassemble according to the Manual using all washers. Those spacers may be toast.

what washers am i missing? where do they go?

I don't think those couplers are correct for your tractor.Here is a pic for a 990314 Landlord

I've been looking at this pic. through jacks, and i know they don't match up. What I have is,

You can replace those with the fiberglass disk.

as Ray said , just get the fiberglass disc replacements and make sure to have the thick washers. the early tractors used the metal/rubber style insulators and are NLA. I'm bet Dan ( rokon ) has some of the fiber-disc with the washers.

Check YouTube; ZippoVarga did a tutorial on installing the driveshaft and spacers, that is an excellent reference. (sorry don't have the lnk handy).

first off put a shop rag down under the coupler and blower housing to prevent losing any parts under the engine . if you are lacking room to get your hand in there use a pair of 12" long or so needle nose pliers to assist with getting the spacers on the bolts.
