Yeoman Drive issue

Never played with a Yeoman, but I would bet

either the idler has a bad bearing,

the clutch linkage is gummed up and not traveling far enough to make the belt tight enough,

or maybe, maybe, a key is missing from a pulley allowing it to spin on the shaft.
