Loader cylinders or valve leaking?

Recommended Posts

rickf

Did a bit of searching wo any luck. I have an ark loader on my 720 (powermax) and the bucket cylinders will "leak" down in a matter of a minute or two. The lift cylinders seem very steady, may leak down over a few days, but I usually park it down. There doesn't seem to be any other external leaks, and I'm just wondering if the bad seal is more likely to be in the valve rather than the cylinder(s), just wondering which I should rebuild first.

Anyone have a parts diagram for the spool valve parts? Tips/Tricks?

thanks.

Typically that is an piston seal but can't say for sure. You could put a ball valve in line, shut it down and isolate the piston by turning the ball valve closed. If it doesn't settle then its the loader valve; if it does settle its the piston.....
