pto switch

Dave; Funny I should have gone through this and came on here to post about it and saw your question. Not at all familiar with the Sunstar but electricity is a pretty standard thing even though I don't understand all I don't know about it. I just went through a two day hair pulling session with a '96 vintage Regent which had no current past the starter solenoid. After checking and rechecking every wire and switch on the thing I discovered the PTO switch was defective. I am very adamant about using proper replacement parts rather than trying to save a few bucks with something not suitable or something that may cause damage. Rather than a substitute I would suggest biting the bullet , pay the price for the right part and get on with life. My whole problem was that every safety switch in the system is routed through the PTO switch. good luck.
