Spring assisted lift springs

There has been a lot of chatter on the forums lately, about the use of spring assisted lift springs. I remember coming across this in one of the manuals on installing a 42" dozer blade. I acquired a spring (#1675232) (at the recommendation of a dealer service tech), when I purchased the lift rod for my 4212. This was the spring only. These were available for use on 4000, 5000, 6000, and 7000 models.Found this info on the web...Parts breakdown of the KIT.

The spring alone retails for about $10, most of us have the other parts in our coffee cans (somewhere). The complete kit Part# is 1685336.Cheers,Wayne

Steve I also used that same spring to mount to the lift handle under the tractor to "aid" the Armstrong lift. The bracket, painted black, fits the hole pattern in the frame to mount the foot running board.

Helps some, and thinking of adding another at some time.
