To Grease or Not

Recommended Posts

Took the deck off the 3314 to clean up after a hard summer, including removing the rollers to get the clover wrapped on the off, stuff is like a washer in there. Anyways, when I first redid the deck I thought it be a good idea to grease the roller bar under the rollers. Did what I wanted, it wasn't rusty under them, but that grease was like tar. Good idea to grease or not? Maybe remove them every year?

As the paint I used under it is long gone reckon that's on the morning list to do.

I run all of mine dry except for a little dry graphite spray after cleaning as it attracts less dirt and grass. I am most likely wrong but it works for me.

There was an old trick in Cub Scouts for the "Pinewood derby cars" a mixture of graphite and gasoline worked wonders for those cheap plastic wheels, and drywall nails for axles.
