Simplicity ignition and sparkplug

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

I have a small ignition problem on my 3416H with a 16 hp briggs.

What is the right platinium/breaker distance, (not shure if it is the right word in english, hope you now what i mean)

Which sparkplug do you prefer to use?

And where to buy a new ignition coil and capacitor?

Thanks Thomas

The open points gap is .508 MM metric/ .020" decimal.

The current plug is Champion J19LM or equal. Open gap .030" decimal/ .762 MM metric

If your engine is an original there should be a Model 326431 Type 0127-01, Code 72 or 73 XXXXXXXX (X=numbers more or less) stamped on the blower housing.

I do have a parts list for that. If you PM me with your e-mail address. I will gladly send you a copy.

Briggs and Stratton Has a big pressance in the Euro community. Parts are still available.

Also there is a maintence manual In Tech Tips and Articles that you can download, no charge, English only.
