chrome rings

Depends on who you ask. Personally, I would put nothing else in a cast bore. If they are cheaper, are you comparing aftermarket to Briggs? Aftermarket is about that much cheaper than Briggs, is why I started using aftermarket, have had no problems with them at all in about 20 years of running them

I have had several sets of chrome rings that would not seat. I have never had that problem with a CI rings. Just my experience, I am still running two engines with the CI rings and no oil usage of any significance. I have been using one of the engines for over 20 years. Oh, yeah, that engine is my one and only 243431 10 Hp engine.

I only go to the chrome rings in high-load, high-rpm usages. This is what they were designed for.
