Simplicity Model Years?

Gad! You'd think I'd know that one by heart. I know that my territory manage shows up around the end of the summer/fall. We plan for the following spring, etc. Jack

Questions for long-time Simplicity fans:

When does Simplicity change their model years, introducing new models, literature, prices, etc?

Is it September (like US auto market), January, or what? Has it changed over the years?

I have some price lists for September & some from January. I want to add these to the site, since it shows the "novelty" of 25-30 year old prices, but most importantly which implements/options went with which tractors, by part number...

Thanks!

Great question! I've always been puzzled by the fact that my parts dealer insists that my landlord is a 1966 when the numbers on the B&S identify it as a 1967. I remember what I paid for my tractor with 3 attachments 4 years ago -- I'd love

I know they build winter equip in summer and vice versa. Also around here it's not uncommon to have a 2 yr. old model still on the showroom floor. One dealer here had 4 yr old units that were still new{I hope he didn't floor plan those puppies!] I think new model year is after fac rep shows up {in fall} dlc

For some reason the end of my 3/14/99 message was dropped.
Anyway, -- "I'd love to know what it all sold for
1966!

John,
Hang tight. One of the next things coming (next couple of weeks) will be some old price lists... Not sure I have a 1967 though. I'll have to check.
