3416 rear end questions

Recommended Posts

EdFromMason

I was going to replace the rear end on our 3416. But the other rear end I got has a few things the one in the tractor don't. The one in the tractor has a few things the spare one don't. Will this work in our 3416 or will I need to off it for another. My dad gave me the 3416 & told me the pin in it broke or was missing so I got another rear end out of another working tractor. Problem is I need to get something done with this so I have a way of clearing the driveway. Hoping the photos come thru.

If you are talking about hydrostatic units there are two basic choices, Vickers was original to the 3416, later models used Sunstrand units, quick way to tell the difference is the Vickers is black like cast iron and the Sunstrand is aluminum color, they can be swapped in, but there are mods needed. Search for a sunstrand swap in articles or posts.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
