New Years day projects

Recommended Posts

My first project was to mount the tiller drive pulley, belt guard, idler pulley and bracket, and anchor bracket on the T816 so I will be ready to till in the spring. Then I mounted the electric lift kit I bought myself for Christmas. Here are a few pics of the two projects completed:

And a couple of pics of the T816 in winter dress, and the 616 Frankenstein ready for back-up snow removal duty.

That heated garage is really nice! Now, watch a bit of football and maybe a nap. Next project is to fab a pulley guard/cover for the tiller, but that will be the weekend job.Happy New Year to all!Steve

Thanks for the detailed pictures! I'm not familiar with the 800's and the pictures help me understand how the lift system works on those.

I like the ribs you're running (on both machines!) Do you find they help in the snow?

Josh, can't really tell you with the 616, it stays in the garage for the most part in the winter. I liked the ag tires front and back when I ran a tiller with the 616, they are better in the dirt. On the T816, the front tires seem to work ok except if I get into deep snow with the blower raised, then they like to skid. As long as I am blowing, they are as good as anything else I have had. the T816 rears are turf with chains and weights. Those fronts were on the tractor when I got it and are in decent shape so didn't change them.

Thanks for sharing Steve, as I hope someday my 6216 will grow up to till and lift also. For now the "extra" spring assist where the electric lift goes helps. Looking to add another spring some day. Sure like your setup. Blower, tractor and cab look to be in great shape. Hope you can enjoy!
