I snapped a few pics today too...picked up about 7" from the storm. We have about 30-35" on the ground, and broke 100" for the season. First winter I've actually been thrilled to have a blower running.

I keep things open down to and around the fornt of the trailer, in case that CL deal pops up.

id="quote">Marty, we had a couple 40 degree days and some rain after I made those original piles.They are rock hard now. ;)When I parked the small trailer you can barely see up against the garage, I tried pushing it through the bank, it went up and over instead.BTW, TV says we got 12 inches in 24 hours. :o

This winter is definitely bringing back memories of living in the UP for me. Specifically, pulling your vehicle out into an intersection to actually see another car coming, and removing snow EVERY STINKIN DAY.

Josh I remember 1978 as we had roads, SE Wisconsin, simliar to your picture. One of my customer's was a car carrier who hauled out of GM Janesville. The snow didn't stop GM from making cars as 1978 was a very good year for car sales. GM ended up renting farm land and had a ton of end loaders clear flat fields of snow, I don't know how many cars were shipped there. Then the thaw came. What an ugly mess. There were cars shipped to the dealers with hay and weeds caught in the undersides that the dealers had to clean. Not to mention what the fields looked like. Stuff that doesn't make the news.sm00

I think we've had maybe one good snowfall where we got enough to make the blower work hard.

Other than that, it's been between a dusting and maybe 2", a few times a week.

It's funny, I have deep snowbanks next to my mailbox, but they're there not from one single snowfall, but a lot of light snows.

We've had a couple 6-8" snows, maybe one 12" snow, and the rest is simply non-stop 3-4" snows. Even the 1" dustings have been rare...it's usually in that 3+ range. I moved another 4" today...completely unexpected.

We had the cable guy here today....I never paid much attention to where our cable box is, so guess what he spent an hour doing with a shovel? I offered to help, and he said "No thanks. This is what they sent me up from Ohiop to do!"

Dan, I'm betting this is your record year for "seat time" clearing snow!

id="quote">
id="quote">Not even close Jim. The lake effect machine has been good to us for the most part this year.I honestly don't think I've plowed more than a dozen times this year.Remember the winters a few years ago, I plowed every day in January one year, and every day in February the following year.Last I heard, Rochester airport was about 90 inches for the year, and here, 40 miles away, I'd be surprised if we are over 60.This storm was about 12 inches, a couple weeks ago I got 8 or 10, a couple weeks before that about 8. The rest has been small, less than an inch to maybe 3.I fill the tank on the B every time I plow, and I'm not through my 3rd 5 gallon can yet.

      Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
