Big thanks to Ray...again! He was instrumental in a successful PS install on my 7790 (formerly HIS 7790). They day Ray dropped her off...

She was on mowing, chipping and leaf duty this past fall, with power to spare, despite the task...

**Ray, I hope I did you proud, by treating the ol diesel right**Ray gave me guidance on fittings, helped get me ahold of the proper length hydro lines and built the front and rear cylinder mounts for my rig. He also had the 7790/PS decal dash made up (by Vintage Reproductions, I beleive) back when he owned this machine. The orbital valve and cyliner came from a local Sunstar.

I love this old diesel, and PS just rocks. The combo is going to be VERY hard to beat! Right now, it's my only Sovereign, and IMO, is the very best I've owned.

Lost some real estate on the rear cylinder mount, due to the diesel engine mount bolt position.

Did some head scratching on the hose routing, but got it right the first time! No leaks!

Ran her a bit so I could top the fluid off for the Sunstrand hydro, and took a drive on a nice sunny, 3 degree morning! That Lombardini didn't even need to use the glow plug...fired right up!

Were those hoses the correct length?

id="quote">Spot on man! It took a few trial and error install's to figure out which would need to be routed where, but once I got them, they all are perfect. I may apply a few zip ties to keep things tidy, but I see no issues as-is.Thanks again Ray! I hope I can repay the favor(s). ^ You probably ought to come take it for a spin, huh? Maybe at Bryan's Plow Day? dOd

id="quote">No, they were OEM, as far as I know. The original dash and dash decal had them. I wish I could have moved light and/or fuel shutoff up to the dash like on the gasser conversion, but there's jus tno room up there for them.

The lights and switch do show in the book...I know the current dash cover that I ordered from SImplicity does not have holes for them, however. The push button switch hole is there, but is too small for the button...I beleive it is where the choke is relocated to on gassers.
