Winterizing Kit for 16HP Briggs

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Is there a source for the carb shield (177048) and deflector (1665789) that are part of the winterizing kit (1690565) for the 7116's?

There's a nice piece of sheet metal tacked on mine that's doing the job, but I'd sure like to get my hands on the real deal.

I used a old JC Penny Home Collection bath rug, in spruce green. The frills sway in the exhaust flow, and the rug hangs for drying. The only trick is holding it in place, which I do with spring clips. It works like a charm.

A member here had the deflector on Ebay, but what I really needed was the carb shield. I bet you wait long enough, you will find what you need.

Good morning peeps! I’m always searching for helpful information with my AC collection. Hope to find out new information and pass on my own experience in restoration. Here are some pics of my babies. I’m still looking for front rims for the 410 so yesterday I put the 310 wheels on took it for a drive. Working pretty good but still needs some carb work. Gotta get the 310 running next. Have a great day!😁
