A chunk was missing from around the axle seal. I guessing maybe the axle tube went at some point.

I was able to get another transmission half from Sandy Lake. That is a cool place to see!

00380.jpg

While going through the tranny I found a broken key, the only solution I could find was to make a new one from key stock.

Amazing transformation^ Not many people would have gone so far to save that one, very well done:) I think these early Landlords were one of the best looking tractors Simplicity made.

Awesome work Damon!

With your obvious eye for detail, you fit in perfect on this site. I really enjoy the part layout pics....reminds me of my plastic model days. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more pics.

Great job and good luck.

Mark

Thanks for all of the kind words! The AG tires and rims that were on it are rotted out, I had to find another set of wheels. These tires are in rough shape too, but I dont plan on buying new ones. I got the mid Pto done the other night

OOOO Why is it that whenever someone posts a pic of their tractors out in the garage or workshop, everyone has to spend more time looking around the garage to see what they might spy in the background INSTEAD of looking at the intended tractor or item itself?? LOL|)

She shure is purdy!! dOddOddOddOd The tractor NOT the Mustang!

Haha, the mustang is actually a 79, good eye though. Its a survivor, its been in the family since brand new, and was still a daily driver until about 10 years ago.

Got the dashboard done and hooked up. I was too cheap to go for the $100 22nf battery. I went with a 300 cca lawn battery instead which works just fine. I have a new dashboard decal, but I like the texture on the origonal better so I kept it.
