Murphy's Back

Well Murphy found me and my B-10.

I was blowing snow when it just quit,No spark I cleaned the

points and changed the condenser, still no spark.

I was getting ready to pull the motor, and when I pulled the

snow blower off I found I have a bearing that is shot.

I started checking for a supplier, the only one so far

wants $70.each.

I guess I'll rig something up, but first I would like to

get rid on old Murphy so he don't screw up my repair job.

Anyone want a house guest???

Willy,

If Murph was there, then He must have some very long arms, to reach SE PA also! Every time I think I see a break to get some work done on the tractors, four or five other higher priority things pop up to erase all hope of me doing some wrench spinning!

yes Bob they are a flange bearing,

TSC has some but not what I need in stock and

they could order some but the young gal wasn't

sure when they would come in.

I went to Motion Industries and they will be hear

in the morning.

The coil will be in at the parts house tomorrow also.

Maybe Murphy has moved on. ( I hope )

I just checked, and Murphy is in his room and he will be staying for dinner. I think you must have a cousin staying at your place.

The Murp was in my Kitchenaid mixer for the last week. The motor was making noise and occasionally seizing. I diagnosed the brushes/commutator and bearing - after buying an unneeded new armature/bearing, I found Murph lurking near the loose stator nuts that was allowing it to sag and bind.

I HATE that guy. If I were you, I would make him go find a bearing.

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
