I have what I believe to be a 990746 36" blower that I got with tractor 3416h I have also acquired a 42" blower that is the same I thought except wider.Was there a difference in the auger diameter between the 36 & 42?There are no #'s on either one. the 42 that I have is smaller in diameter than the 36

Burntime is correct. The auger diameter should be the same.

But the mounting tunnels are different between the old FDT snowblowers and the RBT snowblowers.

In your pic, the upper (right) snowblower is for a FDT. You can see the smaller diameter (4-1/2") driven pulley; the tunnel is smaller. The lower (left) snowblower is for a RBT. You can see the larger diameter (7") driven pulley; the tunnel is larger.
