powermax_paul 1 Posted December 29, 2001 I've been looking through the paint discussions for info on AC yellow, now that I got a B207 for Christmas. I've always used an AC orange tractor and equipment enamel for my powermax tractors even thouh it takes forever to dry. It's a good thick heavy duty paint. Anyway, has anyone looked at the Valspar website, specifically the Plastikote BPS Tractor & Equipment enamel? I wondered if anyone looked at the "Transport Yellow" and if that was too dark. SmilinSam 4,244 Posted December 29, 2001 I tried transport yellow and did not care for it.Didn't have a good glossy sheen to it and the color was too rich a yellow. I wish Valspar had a better matching yellow, but I have not found it yet. I like the way valspar paints.

powermax_paul 1 Posted December 31, 2001 Thanks Travis, I guess I never thought about S/W. As a remodeling contractor, I have an account at the local S/W store. I wonder if I could special order in spray cans. I'll be painting piece by piece and would hate to have to clean the gun twenty zillion times. Paul
JCS 0 Posted December 31, 2001 KENT says some other member is working on getting the original formula codes. Remeber there are two paints (old and new yellow)!
automan 0 Posted December 31, 2001 I run a parts/paint store and have access to Dupont and Sherwin Williams info. S/W has an Equipment and Tractor Colors chip set that shows 7 AC yellows. I will list them below, with the Mfg.# and the S/W #. Name Mfg.# S/W Yellow 921270 1787 Yellow 925110 4445 Lorain Yellow 921281 1225 Yellow 922982 9201 Yellow 925022 1795 Idustrial Yellow 70197 3670 yellow 925106 1561 travis
automan 0 Posted January 2, 2002 The S/W I have info. on is the automotive division, I'm not sure if the industrial side can use the same info. There are some locations that can mix the colors in an enamel and put it in an aresol can. travis
JCS 0 Posted January 3, 2002 I called Sherwin-Williams and only certain stores can mix the paint. I ordered a quart of the the 9201 paint since the above post says 9201 is the cross for A/C 922982 and the brochure KENT posted says 922982 is the correct color for the B-10 tractors. It is $35.79 for a quart.
