Some pics from Fla. Flywheelers Show

As most of you know I spent the last month in Fla. I attended several shows. We all like pictures and even though there are no AC/Sim. pics here you should enjoy these anyway. 1/2 scale M670 and the 4wd 1/2 scale Mini are works of art. There are some other rare ones also, like the diesel LoBoy154 and the Ford V8 garden tractor. Enjoy....Dave

OOps! the AGs on the MM-112 are mounted backwards. Those "bar-cleat" turfs (?) on the other MM look interesting. If our local mini owner/collector brings his to the Car Show this year, I'll have to get some pics. That and the couple of "hit-miss" engines that appear.

Gr8 photo's Dave,. I guess Florida beats Ontario at this time of the year?

:o Marty; I had not even noticed the "leg". LOL Have no idea what it was doing there.

Wayne; Yes Fla. in March is much better than Ontario in March....Dave

I like the ford with the flat head in it, mostly because I love those old flat head fords. My first car was a 37 that I bought for $10 and the engine was apart in the barn, paid $5 additional for that. I was 13 years old at the time, put it together and ran it around the fields and dirt roads.

Nice Cockshutt T&C :o!! That is a rare one!

id="quote">My brother collects garden tractors and also Cockshutt farm tractors along with my dad. My brother has done extensive research on the Oliver, Ford, and Town & Country garden tractors. While rumors of a Cockshutt garden tractor has been around for years, all research has found that there was never an actual Cockshutt branded garden tractor. There were red and white Town & Country garden tractors which would have a paint scheme like the Cockshutt but the decals would say Town & Country. Judging from the photos it looks like it has the correct hood, fender pan, wheel weights, and grill. The tractor is still a very neat tractor. The MoCraft is a predecessor to the MM garden tractors and is very collectable along with several other MM's.Dan

Just curious when and where this show was as I was in FL recently and would have liked to see one of their shows.

Reed; if you click on the link Dan posted it will give you the info you need about the Flywheelers. There is also a show at Zolfo Springs put on by Hardy County and called Pioneer Park Days. It is the week following the Feb. Flywheelers show. If you Google Stews Stuff you can find info about Stewart Paquettes IHC Museum and annual show west of Leesburg Fla. just off of State Rt. 44. That is a show well worth seeing and is the same weekend as the PPD show in Zolfo. Also the North Florida Antique Engine Assoc. puts on a show at the fairgrounds at Starke. It also was on the 7/8/9 weekend in March. I will post some additional pics from PPD and Stew's Show in the coming weeks....Dave

Those two Minny farm tractor replicas are sweet. Lots of work and craftsmanship. We had both Oliver and M&M dealers nearby but neither sold the company branded garden tractors. Nice pictures Dave!

Good info Dave. Next time I go to FL I think I'll do a little better planning and see some more of the local flavor!
