Will they fit?

Recommended Posts

I need to know from those of you who have worked on Kohler twins. Will cylinders and pistons/pins from an 18HP Magnum fit a KT19 Series II ? I have a chance to get a pair of 10 over cyl./pins/pistons at a very reasonable price and this will cure my worn KT19 if they fit....Dave

First the M18 is the same as a KT17 not a KT19. That said they all have the same bore, but a longer stroke on the KT19/M20. So the crankshaft is different between them...so the KT19 has different jugs than the M18. The M18 jugs will probably bolt on, but will be 1/4" too short for the K19 stroke. You could maybe make the pistons work, and bore out the KT19 jugs???

Need to check Kohler part numbers.

Wish I could be more help, I have both engines and have exchanged external parts but not internal.
