tmerideth
I have just completed a purchase that I would like to share with the club. I am relatively new at this, been a member since August after being smitten by the purchase of an AC 710 with 42" deck and 36" tiller. Since then I have added a Big Ten with a 42" deck and tiller. This past Monday, I bought 6 tractors and an assortment of implements. The tractors included an AC 312, AC 410, 2 B110's, 1 B112, 1 B212, 2 practically new 36" tillers, 1 new set of dual wheel adapters, 1 practically new set of cultivators, 1 liquid spray attachment, 1 fertilizer drill attachment, 1 spare set of 23 X 10.5 X 12 wheels and tires with chains. I am about overcome with adrenalin rushes. The 312 and 410 are running, all the B's supposedly have running engines although they have been sitting a long time. All these came from the same person. I also purchased another AC 710 two doors down from this large purchase. This unit has been modified significantly, has 20" truck tires adapted to it. Looks real funny, mainly bought it for spare parts for my original AC 710. I am sure other members have made more significant purchases, but being a rookie, I was extremely pleased with my treasure find. Plans are to restore maybe 2 different B's, the 312 and 410. May consider sale of some of the others and implements. If I can ever figure out how to post photos on the site, I have some I can post.

MPH
Mighty fine haul Tom, think with an AC plant once located in N.C. that should be good 'hunting ground' you live in. Spent 21 months in Sumtter long time ago totally unaware of garden tractors..MPH

Woodydel
If I had the guts to come home with all that, I would need acres and acres to hide it all for a few months. Woody

BradW
Tom, I would be very interested if you could provide more detail as to how that 710 was lifted up like that, I would be interested in how to achieve that myself and if you are ever looking to unload that sprayer, I would give you top dollar for it, thanks,-BradW P.S. When is a good time to call, you left your number but not a time, thanks,-BradW
tmerideth
Thanks Marty, you may be right about the hunting ground. I am just beginning to explore this area. I live in the Spartanburg, SC area and am reasonably close to a large part of the North Carolina area. Brad, when I first saw this 710 modified as it was, I thought "Aint that a piece of cr#@". But the more I play with it, I aint so sure that the guy might not have been onto something. It is a 6 speed model, from what I can find out on this site those were kind of rare. The tractor runs good, but I think there may be some play in the BGB. With those big tires and the engine noise, I can't tell yet. One thing I can tell you is that it does get lots of traction, maybe too much for the drive train. I will take some photos and send them to you along with the sprayer and some of the other stuff. I would like to try to find out if the sprayer is factory or homemade. If it is homemade, it was very well done. Looks professional to me. But if it works well, I have lots of uses for it. I live on 10 acres of wooded land and have lots of undergrowth that needs to be controlled. Sprayer might save me some bushhogging time.

tmerideth
Brad, Are you testing your photo links..? Do they work for you..?
BradW
Yeah, I have used different computers and they are all working, when I come back to my mom's house late tonight I will edit the photos to a smaller size so they load easier then put them on a better link,-BradW
Kent
They don't work for me... the URL looks like they're sitting in someone's Yahoo mailbox. BTW, I tried the Canon Hyperphoto (used to be Photoloft) site that Woody recommended earlier. It's slick, with 50MB free and lots of nice touches like using your photos for custom email postcards, etc. I'd recommend it highly for those looking to replace PhotoPoint....[A href='http://hyperphoto.photoloft.com/canon.asp?s=cano']http://hyperphoto.photoloft.com/canon.asp?s=cano[/a]
Woodydel
Tom is trying to share from Yahoo storage and Yahoo doesn't allow remote links. In Netscape when I copied the image location and pasted it in the location bar I could find the image. When I returned to SimpleTractors the message contained the picture. This only worked on the first picture. It also worked in IE (in the address bar). Woody
