bud119195 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Got a set of pod lights on my 3415 that the bulbs dont work.since origionals are not available what is a alternate bulb that will work in the sockets,Was thinking of making Plexigals covers for the lens.
dhoadley Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I seem to remember a discussion about this awhile ago. Is this what you're looking for? http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=123039&SearchTerms=pod,headlights Dave
Brettw Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 If all 4 bulbs are bad, I would check the connections first. It might just be a bad ground or power supply.
BLT Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Check the bulbs first. The bulb case is not grounded so you have to jumper both power points with a plus and minus to light up bulb.
bud119195 Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 All bulbs are shot.glass came off the metal base when I took them out.ran a test light and have power to all 4 sockets
GregB Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I think these are the ones I bought. http://www.topbulb.com/gbe-bulb-20w-12v-alr-37mm-18-spot-halogen-ansi-gbe Same base, but no lense like the OEM bulb. I was going to cut off the OEM lense and glue it to the backside of the trim plate for appearance. But it is way down on the to do list at this point.
dave45056 Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I just did my headlights. You can check out what I did here:http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=577017 The best bulb to buy in my opinion is the SATCO S1970. These are taller and larger diameter than normal MR16's, and they plug right in.
GregB Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I like the look of the Satco bulb. It looks like an easy fix.
