LanceR Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Howdy all, a few years back I was lucky enough to acquire an L-10 loader which I mounted on my B110, in Texas this truly is rare sight to even see an Allis Chalmers garden tractor, much less with a loader. This unit is truly a work horse and has saved my back more times than I can count. Lately I have been having issues with the rams leaking past the seals on the chrome rods mounted to the lifting arms causing the bucket to slowly lower to the ground. When the bucket is lower than the pump/reservoir tank, it will leak out all of its hydraulic fluid over the tires. I have replaced the seals two times over the past year and it appears the pitting on the rams keeps eating up the seals. Has anyone ever restored the L-10 loader rams? Does any know if you can still acquire parts for the L-10? Any help is appreciated.
ReedS Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Hard parts such as the cylinder rams are long out of stock from Simplicity. Your best bet is either to find a good hydraulics shop that can either recondition your current cylinder rams or make new ones. Beyond that cylinder replacement would be a solution.
huffy Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I had new rams made for mine at a local shop. It was only like $200, which included all new seals, etc.
