AC_B-1Novice Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Sight unseen buy I made on the Wards Gilson 1973 model33020A.If these shouldn't be here MOD please put it where it belongs. larry Sort of disappointed as there is more damage than advertised. I guess it might be worth $75 buck as it does run ok except burning oil. I did get the original owners manual though.I wasn't told about the broken part of the body and the wiring mess. Oh well, that is the way it is moving west, sometimes you get an arrow in the back. larry No offense meant to Indians just to old movies.
fishnwiz Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Thanks for sharing the pics! STILL worth it. You could keep the carb and starter gen and scrap the rest ( NOT telling you to do that)and it would still be worth 75.00 all day long so don't beat yourself up on it.
GrincheyOne Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Larry, If you parts it, keep the air cleaner assembly, these are rapidly disappearing into the "sunset". Cheers, Wayne
AC_B-1Novice Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 Thanks for the update. I feel a lot better now. Now to just get time to work on it. larry
perry Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I have had MANY of these Gilson tractors. broken dash and bad wire harness is common on these. I used to get real good money parting these out. they can be a bugger to work on .
AC_B-1Novice Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 Seems parting out may be the way to go. I'll just have to see as I don't want a problem child at the time in my life. Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it. larry
