Kohler engine age

I've got a friend that is determined to find out the age of his K241 Kohler serial no. E0227555. I know at one time I saw a list of serial no.'s and years built but can't find it now in print or on the net. Anyone have an idea where to look next? Thanks, Ron

The Kohler engine repair manual for the single cylinder K series has a chart that will determine the age for you. I do not have the book handy, but if I get home at a reasonable hour I will look it up for you.
