garyb Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I'm looking for a break lining for my dad's 7117 6speed. It keeps getting stuck in 2 gears and I'm guessing it is because the lining is worn out and it will not stop spinning gears enough to switch between gears. Has anybody had this problem? and if so am I headed in the right direction?
BLT Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Are you trying to shift on the fly or stop to change gears. If you stop to change gears and the belt are still moving, the belt guides aren't doing their job to stop belt motion.
garyb Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 BLT my brother claims he is stopping to shift but the gears are not stopping and when he shifts it sticks in between gears. That is what i'm being told
BLT Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Observe what is going on with sit pan up, brake on and engine running at idle and operate clutch handle by hand. All the way down , the belt should stop. If nit download load the operators manual for adjustment procedures, and that can be done at the top of this forum.
