Today I was using one of my 9020's a lot brush hogging tilled 3 gardens and it was pretty hot today. It ran great all day but after the last garden it would miss real bad then smooth out miss real bad and smooth out, I let it cool down went to the parents for a little get together came back home started right up ran it around the house and down the drive and it seemed run good. At first I thought I burned out the points but if that was the case would it run alright again after it cooled off? Talked to my dad and he thought it seemed like it was vapor locking but I dunno just looking for some other opinions I have a extra set of points but I thought I would wait and see how it runs next time I really use it. This tractor is never missed a beat in 4 years so I'm hoping it was just vapor locking thanks for any input. Phil

....My thinking would lean towards a coil with internal

problems - maybe "an open" expanding with heat saturation.....

You know that's what it almost seemed like, like it was running on only 1 cylinder

Where would I get a new coil? Would napa have one that would work or does it have to come from onan?

You might want to check the points.
