bowhunt4life Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Somewhere the past few days I lost the round cupped plate that fits on the back end of my carburetor on my HB212. I suspect I need to get a carb kit and tap in a new cupped plate. Any tips to make sure the cupped plate stays in place and doesn't pop out again?
BLT Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I use a golf ball and give it a good tap to seat it in the groove. Then if you ant SealAll will hold it in place after that. And welch plugs from Briggs are still available as a single item.
GrincheyOne Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I might just have a spare in my "spare carb parts box". W
fishnwiz Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I put a few dabs of epoxy like JB weld on all of my welch plugs so I do not lose them.
Oz Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I used the bottom of a soda can once. It had a nice inward radius.
Ronald Hribar Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I think someone uses an electricial cover one that is used to cover a round hole I believe the type that has a bolt in center to tighten it up
bowhunt4life Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Thank you for the feedback. I'll stop over at the simplicity dealer today. Now need to find a part no.
