42" deck off a 3210 will it work?

Hello I need a deck for my 7114. Will the 42" deck from a 3210 work? I am looking for something that does not have to be modified, so mounts to the frame correctly etc. I bought my 7114 without a deck but assume it should be a left discharge as my 7117 is?

Thanks in advance for the advice here.

It will work but the hieght adjusters are wider and hit the running boards so you can not lift as high...

Ok thank you I think I can live with that.

I think a 3210 tractor was a FDT and had the "hanging" PTO, not a cone clutch. So the center spindle drive pulley will be small.

So, if this is the case, the blades will rotate faster than design at full engine rpm.

Thanks Bill good to know. Hopefully will be able to find a belt that works and won't run over half throttle.

Been running a smaller pulley from a FDT for over 10 years on a few Sovereigns at wide open throttle. It has not had any issues yet or killed anyone.

Not sure how much the speed difference is. Cone clutch is 5" diameter on RBT. FDT uses 4-1/2" to 4-3/4" pulley. I think Simplicity just slowed the blades down on the later models. Probably an OPEI and government issue.

I have the 4-1/2" cast iron pulley from FDT on my deck and it should be 6". When I first got into these tractors 15 years ago. I inherited my fathers Allis B212. I never could find a decent deck for it so I bought a new deck shell part number 103303. Paid about $275 for it at the time. The newer deck shell replacement has the holes drilled in so that you can put the adjusters on the outside of the roller bar so that the adjusters do not hit the running board. What I have invested in it is the reason that I keep it around.

My father liked his torches. His trailer was narrower than the deck so he cut the end of the deck off to fit between the tires on the trailer. He did this to two 48" decks. I thought they were a bit dangerous with the blade sticking out the side of the discharge, but you didn`t need a weed eater:D.

Hahaha hilarious "weed eater" replacement. I guess when you own torches and can weld you can do whatever the heck you please.
