bowhunt4life Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Well I got a sense of DeJaVu a few days ago. After tilling a few gardens I heard the "roar" of the Vickers. Having already gone thru changing out the output shaft bearing on my other HB212 a while back I figured I was up for the challenge. The first go round took me a few days to get this task accomplished. The second go round was much smoother as I figured I knew what I was doing and I had all the right tools for the job. All back together and ready to work in 2.5 hours. Thanks to everyone over the years who has contributed to my education and improved my ability to work on these garden tractors. I have met some great people thru this site and am humbled by everyone's willingness to help out. Thank you all.
Talntedmrgreen Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Chris, you gotta stop beating on that poor tractor! ) ...becoming quite the mechanic though!

OkieGT Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Thanks for the pictures and post Chris, I have two Vickers Hydros that now I know how to repair if need be
bowhunt4life Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 Hey Mike here is a link the original thread; http://www.simpletractors.com/club2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=125077&SearchTerms=growl Yes after I took the picture with the plow I went and turned a couple rows to polish her up.
MikeES Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 While we are talking Vickers...my HB212 leaks around the output shaft, putting hydro fluid in the transaxle. The transaxle fills up and the excess comes out the brake hub seal. I put a pan under the tractor to catch the leak, and add more transmission fluid to the reservoir. It uses maybe a quart a year. Does anyone know is this a seal? By the parts it looks like maybe just an O-ring.
