yukon Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 well after all this time i finally got 18 hp and 20 hp deutz allis i like my legacy and my sovereign but still have a softspot for the sunstar/deutz.the 20 has 780 hrs on it and the 18 has 899 hrs on it.
PeppyDan Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Sweet pair Dave! Are you planning to switch the larger 26x12x12 turfs onto the 1920 or leave it as the beast it is? Dan
OrangeMetalGuy Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 They are certainly a very heavy-duty tractor. They look best with some beefy and oversized lugs on the back. How is the speed control on them versus a large-frame with Sundstrand hydro? Pretty smooth? I would love to have one, the PS, 2-speed rear and locker would be sweet.
yukon Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 the 26-12-12 will stay on the back of the 18hp. i think the hydro and the steering is a whole lot better and smoother than the sovereign.
GLPointon Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Awesome tractors Dave, they are in nice condition...what is the "black lever" on your 1918 by the front wheel? mine dosent have that...? Makes me anxious, my 1918 is sitting in the back shed awaiting its "resto" turn. I used it with the 4-way blade for snow duty...Awesome fun!
GLPointon Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 I think I got it now..."Plow control rod support"?
