uneven speed on Soverign hydro.

I have been using my new to me Sov tractor and noticed that on sharp turns and uneven terrain my tractor seems to lose speed. I am hoping its only belt slippage. What else should I check for with this issue. My fluids are all up to appropriate levels.

The other thing could be the small rubber bushing that rides in the hydro cage could be worn. You can usually flip it around. Last, I have seen the bolts from the front to the bgb losen up and do the same thing. All things to try. I ended up putting washers in the cage for the forward/reverse direction as the springs were lose. It ran like a champ then. I am sure you will get it Mark...

I have about 1/2 " play in the hydro lever before the engagement rod moves in forward or reverse. Is that supposed to be like that and if not, how do I remove the slop?
