fishnwiz Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Well today was the first time I have purchased anything simplicity green. My question is does anyone know of a good quality match for the D Allis green in rattle cans?I purchased this fine machine with a factory rear bagger and a Brinley pull behind lawn sweeper and lawn thatcher. Not too bad for 175 dollars! Too bad the previous owners young kid crashed the PERFECT green grill surround into a tree 5 min. before I showed to purchase! I am NOT going to even bother asking if anyone has an extra green surround that they want to part with!Tractor runs excellent but needs tube in front tire and a front steering spindle replacement.
GrincheyOne Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Gee Mark, Looks like a 4212, all ready for Patty's Day!
RayS Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I read on another forum Hotrod Green engine enamel from Plastic Kote matches well.
acken Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Mark, you can still get from AC dealer, if you find one that stocks it.
ss74nova Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Nice Deutz-Allis! You seem to find all the deals.8D

fishnwiz Posted June 19, 2014 Author Posted June 19, 2014 My goal when I pick is to try to make enough to pay for gas. Rummage sales are really tough as a lot of people do the same thing I do...flip stuff. There is alot of wear and tear on the truck that I don't make back. I am glad I do not do this for a living as I would be poorer then I already am!
RayS Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 You got to set your goals higher. If you don`t make more than the cost of the tractor and gas. It isn`t worth it, if you can`t stop at McD`s and get a sandwich.
fishnwiz Posted June 19, 2014 Author Posted June 19, 2014 Truth be told...I am addicted to the hunt! You can only own so many tractors! You guys know who I am talking about!
