Found this neat item today while pickn. I wish it was my size and not a med! I have not seen this particular hat before...anyone? This was NOT a bargin find...I paid $30,00 but I asked myself...where are you ever going to see or find another one like it?

My Dad brought some of these home for us kids back in the mid 70's. I think we had a couple styles. We really wore them out, they're thin straw and not very robust. I have some great memories of wearing them, once when it was raining out, I'd let it fill some with water and tilted my head down to soak my little brother.

Nice Buy! We have a small one also. I think most them were ordered in smaller sizes for children.

id="quote">id="quote">You'd be suprised how many vintage hats are worn at shows and AC events. My buddy Dustin was wearing a 1940's AC pith helmet at the Lathrop, MO GOTO. I'll bet it was warm in the 90+ degree weather.
