Guest Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Finally bought a "real" house with a 2-acre yard. Now that I have more to mow than a postage stamp yard, I've been searching for a "real" lawn tractor. Found a 2003 Legacy diesel with 250 hours on it for $1500.....looks absolutely new.....wow.....what a machine vs the craftsman mowers I have used previously. Came with 3-pt hitch, pto, blade, snow blower, 60-inch deck, aux hydraulics....loaded. The only problem is loose steering.....hard to keep a straight line mowing. Steering wheel is tight with minimal play, but, the tractor wanders all over on the grass. Saw an older thread: http://www.simpletractors.com/Club2/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=54634 ....talking about a service bulletin for erratic steering on 1693112 models......does anyone have this bulletin they could send me? GregC was the user that had the bulletin. Thanks!
Bruker Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Thanks for the bulletin. Looks like the same tilt assembly that's on my Prestige. Just checked. It's not the same.
RayS Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 There is nothing for the Prestige unless it was published after 2007.
MikeES Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 WOW! $1500 for a 2003 Legacy Diesel, with all those extras...those kind of deals never seem to land in my lap.
