Manufacture Number on 725

Recommended Posts

I just registered my tractor and I don't know where the manufacture number or the serial numbers are located on the tractor. Can anyone help me to locate these numbers? I have a Montgomery ward garden mark squire (simp 725) from about 1962.I looked up other 725's and they had six digit numbers. The serial numbers were five digit numbers. What do the numbers mean? Is there a place on the site that explains any of the above. Thanx in advance John H

The 725's had the data plate stuck to the seat deck behind the seat. Usually the glue dries out and over time they tend to fall off and get lost.

My seat has been badly weathered so I don't think it can be found. Thanx JohnH

John, It wasn't attached to the seat itself, but to the "flat" panel of sheet metal that the seat bolts onto... Unless I'm mistaken, it was on this panel, centered, behind the seat. Kent
