Its been about a month since I got my first tractor. Spent some time with the squire 725. Got it completely rewired, found a battery that fits perfectly, and did some other odds and ends. It starts right up now and cuts. I have used it the past couple of weeks.I also picked up a couple more.The second one I picked up is a 1963 simplicity 725 with a flail mower. The motor wouldn't turn by hand when I first got it. I was able to free it up and tried starting it but had very weak spark. Found out the the ignition switch wire was keeping the points grounded. Disconnected that and it started. I have to clean the carb and fuel tank still. Flail mower does work. It also has the bracket for a grader blade but no blade itself.The last one I just got is a 1964 simplicity landlord 9hp. It runs and cuts. I did a little bit of rewiring to get it right. Notice now that its been sitting in one spot that one of the axle seals in leaking. Haven't looked into replacing it yet. Anyone have any experience with that, is it pretty simple, and are the seals still available?

Thanks guys. When I seen the flail mower I knew it would be a good buy. Never seen one with it. There is another MW garden mark squire near that I would like to get. Would be cool to have that to go with the landlord like the 725s but the wife has said no for now.

That flail mower is awesome! Is that in any way related to the EZ-Rake?

I know there is a machine registry on the site, but do we have an attachment registry? I only know of four or five sickles like mine last RBT version (1690030) but there must be others?

Just a thought.

id="quote">
id="quote">The flail is not related...it is a Mott. I believe a model F32S. They were made by Mott for various GT brands, and the 'S' suffix specifies the hitch setup for a Simplicity.The EZ-Rake was built by E-Z Rake, which later became Blue Bird. The model 100 is the front mount version, also offered for many brands using different hitches, and quite scarce. The E-Z Rake used a model 30 hitch for our applications. They seem much more common than the Mott mower, however. Mott's are commonly found in the 38" tow behind variety.

I havent been able to find much on the flail mower and the labels on it arent readable. Ill have to try searching for the F32S model then and see what I can find.
