MarkDudley Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I need to replace the deck rollers on a 60" deck. I saw others recommend Yates Rubber products. The Yates web site only lists rollers with a 5/8" bore and that does not fit this deck. Is there any source, or is there some sort of work around? Any help is appreciated.
Burntime Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 What is the bore? Couldnt you just drill them out? Other than that only ebay or the dealer that I know of... Sorry...
MarkDudley Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 I think the bore is 1". I am sure I can bore them out. I figured I was not the first guy down this road and was just checking if someone else figured out a different route. Thanks for the idea.
Brettw Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Boring them out would not work well. The Yates rollers have a nylon insert. If you were to bore that out, it would just be the rubber against the roller bar, and would likely be worn out in a big hurry.
Burntime Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Brett, I have heard of guys boring them out and then fitting pvc in them. No personal experience but its an idea...
