Guest Posted January 9, 2002 I have just purchased a snowblower because I thought I would fit on my Simplicity 7116. I called the local simplicity dealer and they said it would fit, but when I looked on the site here it doesn't mention it fitting? The number on the snowblower is 1690169 (36" Snowthrower). Does anyone know if this will or not? I don't want to spend the money to buy the hitch if it will not hook up correctly -- the local dealer is quoting me $185 for the hitch!! Any help you can give would be appreciated! Thanks, Jason
Kent 436 Posted January 9, 2002 The 1690169 snowthrower is listed for vertical shaft engine tractors. Your 7116 has a horizontal shaft engine. BUT, that doesn't mean the snowthrower itself won't work, it MIGHT with the proper hitch.[A href='http://www.simpletractors.com/clubhouse/ShowMessage.asp?MsgID=2438&mode=short&startwith=120']http://www.simpletractors.com/clubhouse/ShowMessage.asp?MsgID=2438&mode=short&startwith=120[/a]
lboy1971 0 Posted January 10, 2002 They sure are overpriced on those snowthrower hitches. I made my own hitch for my 7116H and 42" blower. If you have a hacksaw, a drill, some flat stock iron and a welder you can easily make your own hitch for a fraction of what they want.
